Obituary for Marion Louise Hardy (Brinn)

HARDY Marion Louise (Brinn) – March 22 1928 – February 4 2013. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marion Hardy. Marion is predeceased by her husband Jack and sisters Doris Clark, Madeline Brinn and Ruthanne Remenda. Survived by sister Lois Klassen. She will be sorely missed by daughters and son in laws, Diane Dobson-Smith and Bob, Barbara Van Moorsel and Hank. Grandma will be missed by Kelley and Owen Dobson-Smith (Margarita), Erin Wilke (Ben), Kimberly Adams (Jeff) and Sara Dries (Adam). “GG” will be missed by Nicole and Isabelle Adams, Quinten and Elijah Wilke and Jonas Dobson-Smith. Marion was born in Guysborough, Ontario. Marion was very proud of the fact that she graduated from the Mack School of Nursing in St. Catharines, and spent most of her working life as a Registered Nurse. Following her retirement she pursued her interest in art and needlework becoming extremely proficient. Marion was a “Super Senior” member of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club, member of the Quilters Guild and was a long time member of the Altar Guild at St. Mark’s Church. Family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake on Thursday February 7, 2013 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service to celebrate Marions life will be held at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Niagara-on-the Lake, on Friday February 8, 2013 at 1 pm. Anyone wishing to send donations may do so to the CNIB.
