Condolences

Condolence From: Judy Whittingham
Condolence: Dear Glad and Banks Family, I can't believe that it's a year since Bill's passing. As I never knew him as a man, my memories of Bill are of a sweet little boy with an impish pointy-chin grin that could (and frequently did!) light up a room. He is such a special soul, and was a gentle man, who loved his dear family. I know that your hearts are filled with special memories of Bill at this time. With love always, Judy

Condolence: Dear Ange and family, I have known Bill for over 14-yrs through work. Through ups and downs of life, Bill’s positive outlook and his commitment to family have always been the biggest takeaways for me. His calm & collected approach and a great sense of humor was contagious and used to cheer people around him. It is these memories of Bill that will remain with me and others who came in contact with him. We will miss him. Vinay Nilkanth

Condolence From: Doug Herbrand
Condolence: To Angie, Kayla and Michael... please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. I was deeply saddened to learn of Bill's passing this past weekend after his lengthy and courageous battle. Bill and I were childhood friends and attended school together for many years. I always admired and looked up to Bill for his many attributes including his wry sense of humour, competitive nature and indelible sense of optimism... the latter likely a result of being a devoted Habs fan... something to this day I fail to understand. Growing up in North Bay, Bill was not only a good friend, but in many respects also served as somewhat the surrogate big brother I never had. I will always remember and cherish many memories of Bill from Alexander Road and at the family cottage on Trout Lake. As is the case with so many childhood relationships, Bill and I lost touch over the years, however I was very fortuntate to get regular updates on Bill and the rest of the family from (friend, colleague, mentor) Keith and Glad. To Jessie, Janet, Gladys, Rae and Lee, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of the family at this difficult time. Bill was one in a million and I consider myself privileged to have shared even a small part of his life.

Condolence: It was with great sadness that our family learned of Bill’s death at a much-too-early age. With sadness come memories . our wonderful dinner with Bill and Angie at the historic Manse and visited their home in Tillsonburg, . of good times at the Banks” cottage on Trout Lake, North Bay, with Bill messing about in boats and jumping off the dock; . of visits to our home in Scarborough. Bill was always there with his big smile and cheery good humour. Our thoughts are with Angie, Kayla and Michael, in these difficult days. Condolence From: David Bull
Condolence: Sadly, I have not seen Bill for many years. We attended high-school together and he was a big part of a close-knit group of friends that played basketball together for Chippewa Secondary School in North Bay. He was a great guy who always kept the group entertained. We all had many laughs and good times together and it is very sad to think he will no longer be around. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Bill and I would discuss our related treatments and difficulties and was a help for us as we navigated similar waters. It is a sober reminder to Amy and I to cherish every day we have.
