It is with great sadness we announce that Kelly Darlene Collens passed away peacefully at The Sakura House Residential Hospice in Woodstock, Ontario on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at the age of 47 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Sam and Ashley, parents Chris Collens and Wayne and Kim Collens; siblings Richard (Karen), Kent (Regan), Justin (Cayla), Joshua (Brandie) and Mandy (Marshall) as well as
numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Kelly received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Victoria and continued her career as a Health Care Consultant responsible for implementing digital record keeping systems in Canada and the US. Kelly will be remembered as a wonderful and loving mother, sister and daughter with an amazing smile, quick wit and a great sense of humour. Kelly’s determination, strength and compassion were qualities that created special friendships with many. The family would like to send a heartfelt thanks to all of Kelly’s friends who were by her side during her journey. A special thanks to Dr. Fryer and Dr. Sondhi, the nurses and staff from the Sakura House Residential Hospice and the nurses at Woodstock General Hospital for their care and kindness. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Kelly’s life on Sunday April 13, 2014 between 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. at the Carriage Hall located at 25 Brock St. W., Tillsonburg, Ontario.
