Peacefully, at Terrace Lodge, Aylmer on Monday, July 28, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Peter Klassen formerly of Langton entered into rest at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Maria (Hamm) Klassen (2010). Loving and caring father of the late Johan (1959); Christina Peters (2008); Peter (Cathy) Klassen of Eden; Isaac (Eva) Klassen of Langton; Mary (Jake) Zacharias of Eden; Jake (Kathy) Klassen of Langton; Margaret (Frank) Voth of Eden; Abe (Cheryl) Klassen of Eden; Johnny (Donna) Klassen of Langton; Henry (Teresa) Klassen of Langton; David (Tina) Klassen of Langton. Son-in-law Jake (Brenda) Peters of Tillsonburg. Peter is survived by his 27 grandchildren, and 51 great grandchildren. Predeceased by 1 great grandchild Nate Joseph Wiebe (2013). Dear brother of Cornelius Klassen of Mexico, and John Klassen of Bolivia. Peter loved Jesus and his family deeply, and had a passion for farming. Peter was in partnership with Klassen Farms, working alongside his sons. He always opened his door and his heart to everyone he met. The family will receive friends at Ostrander’s Funeral Home 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg (519) 842-5221 on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held for Peter at The Mission (formerly Houghton Brethren in Christ Church) on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Paul Robinson and Pastor Paul Penelton officiating. Interment Tillsonburg Cemetery. At the family’s request memorial donations may be made to The Mission and Nate’s Project.
