Ken Penner
1947 – 2014
Peacefully, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family, Ken Penner of La Salette passed away at the age of 67. Best friend of Lynda Linn. Loving father to Lori, Melissa, Rebecca (Clark), Traci (Reagan) and Shari (Lawrence). Cherished grandfather to Lydia, Zachary, Olivia, Lauren and Lawson. Sadly missed by his 2 brothers Ed and Harry, his sister Dorothy and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Ida (Wirch) Penner and his sister Ellen. Ken was an avid fisherman who enjoyed camping and boating at his place by the lake. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. In the words Ken was known to end his conversations with, we say to him, “Bye for now”. Friends and family will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Private family inurnment in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Canadian Diabetic Association would be appreciated. Personal condolences can be made at www.ostrandersfuneralhome.com
