Condolence From: Annie Leonard
Condolence: We had fond memories of Dr. Whitely and his receptionist, Judith at his dental office in Oakville. He always had a funny story to tell. He was my family's first dentist and we remained patients for over 25 years until his retirement. Marlie, Anne, Mike, John and the late Sam Leonard, send our condolences.

Condolence: Very saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Whitley. I met Rex in 1990, just as he was preparing to retire. I feel so very fortunate to have met him and to have shared some fun times and to make some great memories in that last year and a half before he left the practice of dentistry. I attended Rex's retirement party in Oakville, where he practised for many years and found myself overwhelmed by all the people who took time out of their schedules or travelled great distances to be there. It was apparent that this man was very special to many, many people. It wasn't hard to figure out that Rex was a man who made a huge difference in this life, he was a positive influence in the lives of his family, his friends, his patients, in his profession and in his community. Twenty-three years after Rex's retirement and I am honoured to be one of the people still caring for so many of his former patients. The name Rex Whitley, comes up very often throughout my work week, he's deeply respected and will be missed by so many.
Mark, Stephen and Holly... Rex was indeed a very proud father and father-in-law. Kelli, Leanne, Grant, Ren and Millicent, your grandfather's face would light up and his chest would swell with pride when he spoke of you. He was indeed an amazing person, truly kind, gentle, caring, humble and generous.
I will always remember his kindness, his laughter, warm smile and sparkling eyes.
I will be unable to attend on Wednesday, but please know that my thoughts and prayers will be with you all.
RIP Dr A.R.Whitely... your's has been a life well lived!
