Dorothy “Edith” Hedges
1928 – 2014
Peacefully at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family, on Sunday, August 24, 2014. Edith (Anderson) Hedges in her 87th year. Predeceased by her loving husband William Hedges (2003). Loving mother to William Hedges (Brigitte) of Lyndoch, Brian Hedges (Joanne) of Kinglake, Bonita Vero (the late Johnny) of Tillsonburg, Randy Hedges (Joanne) of Courtland, Donald Hedges (Cheryl) of Langton and Connie Gehring (Paul) of Otterville. Loving grandmother to Jeff, Laura (Nathan). Jessica, Vicki (Chris), Jill, Greg (Jess), Ryley, Bradley, Nikole (Ben) and Grace. Great grandmother to Aubrey. Predeceased by her parents Guy and Allie (Edmonds) Anderson, and son Neil (1960). Edith and William were tobacco farmers in the Langton area for over 50 years. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service for Edith will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family and can be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221), whom have been entrusted with arrangements.
