OSCAR DOUGLAS “DOUG” SCHWEYER
1936 – 2014
Peacefully, on Tuesday September 16, 2014 at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. Doug Schweyer of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 77 years. Dear friend of Barbara Clark, Sandy Tracy and Tonya Hudson. Fondly remembered by his step-daughter Christina Clark and step-son Wesley Clark. Also left to mourn their loss are Doug’s siblings, Blanche Glover of North Carolina, Mae Palmer of Tillsonburg, Eleanor Girardin of St. Thomas and Gordon Schweyer of London. Predeceased by his Sisters Joyce Harris (2004), Bernice Hornsby (2008), Irene Fitch (2009) and Brother Mansel (2001). Doug loved to bowl at the Tillsonburg Bowling Alley and did so for 57 years. Friends will be received at the Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg (519)842-5221 on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 11a.m.-12p.m. where the service will follow in the chapel at 12:00 Noon. Inurnment in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Camp Trillium would be appreciated.
