The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Van Acker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Randy and Mary Ryder
Condolence: Cheryl and family. We're so very sorry to hear about the passing of Jim. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time of need.

I'll always have fond memories of my time spent with Jim on the ball diamond in Courtland, coaching the girl's ball team. He always made it fun and enjoyed kidding around with all the girls. He will be missed deeply by many.

Condolence: Uncle Steve & Aunt Peg,
We are very sorry to hear of your loss and hope you may find comfort in your memories with loved ones.

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little–but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me–but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss Me–But Let me Go!
