Unexpectantly at the Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll on Tuesday January 20, 2015. Florence Ferris of Vienna at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Ferris (1989). Loving mother to Deborah Ferris –Komaromy (Laszlo) of Tillsonburg, Valerie Donnell (George) of Vienna and Heather Luckhurst (Shawn) of Ottawa. Dear Grandma of Trevor, Brett, Deidre (Adam), Kieren, Rowan and Andrew. Also survived by her sister Nellie Carson and several nieces and nephews as well as her sister-in-law Connie Brown. Predeceased by her sisters Amy Ellis and Beatrice McIlraith. Born in Clear Creek, Florence was an avid curler, lawn bowler, birder and organic gardener. She was a proud owner of Sam’s Place on the beach Port Burwell for 11 years, a lifetime member of Port Burwell United Church and resident of Vienna all her life. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) for Visitation on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Service will take place at Port Burwell United Church on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Cordell Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at St Luke’s Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Arthritis Society, Tillsonburg District Hospital or Charity of Choice would be appreciated by the family.
