Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Delhi Nursing Home on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, William “Bill” Harvey Schott passed away at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 62 years to Velma (St. Amant) Schott. Caring father of Brenda Rzucek (Jeffrey) of Glen Meyer, Gord Schott (Karen) of Simcoe and Linda Cairns (Bryan) of Courtland. Cherished grandfather of Derek Penner (Cindy), Michael Penner (Laura), Jason Schott, Jenna Schott, Heather Pynaert (Brian), Brett Cairns, Stacey Cairns and great-grandfather of Claire Penner and Leah Penner. Also survived by his sisters-in-law Frances Schott, Eleanor Carruthers, Judy Skuce and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Charlotte (McGrath) Schott, brothers Gordon, Len, Albert, Roy, Leigh and sisters May, Lucy, Velt and Jean. Bill farmed in the Glen Meyer area for many years. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Keith Sutherland of Glen Meyer Baptist Church officiating. Interment to follow in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Glen Meyer Baptist Church or the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.
