With great sadness, we announce the passing of our much loved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, Brenda Lynn Smith, at her home in Tillsonburg on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the age of 61 years. Cherished mother of Jackie Hughes (Steve Winegarden) of Tillsonburg. Proud grandmother of Zachary and Dylan. Loving daughter of James (Jim) Smith of Tillsonburg. Dear sister of Ron Smith (Bernice) of Tillsonburg and James Smith (Lori) of Delmer and sister-in-law of Vickie Smith of Tillsonburg. Brenda will also be sadly missed by her special friend Larry Sitts of Tillsonburg. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Michael Hughes, mother Norma Smith and brother Alan Smith. Brenda was an employee at TRW for 24 years. She was a very busy person; always on the go and not easy to keep up with. She loved her time spent at her “second home”, the Tim Horton’s Coffee Shop on Simcoe Street but more than anything else she loved her family. Friends and relatives are invited to share memories of Brenda at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Robinson officiating. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
