Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Anthony Hobson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Anthony (Tony) Hobson, passed away peacefully at the Tillsonburg Memorial Hospital with his Family by his side on Sunday, May 22nd, 2016.‎
Beloved Husband of Annette Hobson (Savoy) and Father to Alison & Trevor Harness, Michelle & Robert Thoms and Suzanne & Ross Wood. Brother of Martin & Rosemarie Hobson and beloved Grandfather to Aidan, Leah, Sydney and Connor.


Originally born in Leeds, England, Tony served as a “Bobby” with Leeds City Police and moved to Canada in the mid 1970s. A long-time resident of St. Catharines, Ontario, Tony served as a senior member of Plan Protection at Stelco Steel in Hamilton, Ontario.


An avid gardener and nature enthusiast, Tony loved the peace of his backyard sanctuary and could often be found enjoying a brew from Tim's and a challenging crossword. A passionate Toronto Maple Fan, Tony loved his Toronto Blue Jays, travelling and was a true fan of all things ‘Corrie.’


A celebration of Tony’s life will be held Saturday, May 28th, 2016 at the Ostrander's Funeral Home, located at 43 Bidwell Street in the Town of Tillsonburg. Friends and family will be received Saturday May 28th from 11AM to 1PM. A Memorial Service will be held following visitation at Ostrander's Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family are invited to donate in Memoriam to the Nature Conservancy of Canada (www.natureconservancy.ca). Personal condolences can be made at www.ostrandersfuneralhome.com.
