Condolences

Condolence From: Carl and Wilma de Boer
Condolence: Prior to our leaving for Japan as Fellowship missionaries, Dr. MacBain challenged us at our commissioning service, using the meaning of our name "de Boer", meaning "the farmer", to sew the "seed of the Word" in Japan. He attended graduation from Japanese Language School, encouraged us with Godly advice in challenging situations. We send our loving condolences to Grace and Connie and their families. Condolence From: Rev. R.J.Holley
Condolence: Pastor MacBain was a man of God, a man of Vision and a man of Faith with a love and passion for souls. He founded and pastored our home church, Temple Baptist, Sarnia for many years including the decade of the'50s when Florence (now with the Lord) and I were missionaries in Nigeria and the '60s when we served among the stoneage people in Dutch New Guinea. He is now at home with the Lord and no doubt has heard our Saviour's exclamation,"Well done thou good and faithful servant". My heart felt prayers go out to you, Connie and Grace and families.

Condolence From: Bob & Joyce Irvin, Indianapolis.IN.
Condolence: What a privilege it was to serve as dear Hal's Associate Pastor in the mid 1960's at Temple Baptist. He was a great Mentor and precious Prayer Partner. Glad we visited Hal and daughter Grace a couple of years ago at the Lodge -- very special! Now he is Home in Glory--what he longed for in the end. Our prayers continue for Grace & Connie's dear families and our thoughts are with you for the Memorial Service Thursday and burial Saturday in Torrance near the MacBain cottage, so dearly loved. Blessings and prayers in the Lord!

Condolence: The world is blessed with few godly men and now is a sadder place without one of its best. But heaven is richer. May the God of all grace and comfort hold you close as you mourn his loss but rejoice that absent from us means present with the Lord whom Dr. MacBain so faithfully and eloquently served.

Condolence From: Art Stephenson and family
Condolence: I honour Pastor MacBain as a friend and a person who had a strong faith in the Lord and a willingness to minister with a love for people. It was my privilege to serve the Lord with him at Temple Baptist in Sarnia for many years. Also the Lord used him in many ways in the missionary program of the Fellowship in its early years. He will be missed by many people. I am one of them. My heart goes out to you, Connie and Grace, and your families.
