Condolence From: Matt Scholtz
Condolence: Years ago, Brent and I served together on the Board of the Tillsonburg Business Improvement Area. One of our projects was a downtown Christmas tree in December. One year, we wanted to make the tree more prominent by anchoring it to the roof of the Public Library. So one night in early December, we hauled a tree and the lights to the top of Library roof and secured it. But it wasn't easy and I discovered I had a serious allergy to pine needles. We did this rooftop Christmas tree display only the one year, but the warm memory of that hare-brained but hilarious event still stayed with us over the years. In my mind, that memory will always keep Brent alive for me.

Condolence From: Erin Halpenny nee Deli
Condolence: I am so saddened to hear this news. Brent touched so many lives, including mine. He was my piano teacher for many years, and I am grateful to have known him. Brent brought out my musical ability, which, in turn, has inspired me to do the same for my children (once they can reach the keyboard!). Brent had this wonderful personality. I could just listen to him tell stories for entire lessons (and sometimes often did!) when we should have been learning the next song in the book. But that was what made me keep coming back to lessons, not just a love for music, but Brent's love for music as well. From a very early age, it amazed me that someone could be so multi-talented when it came to different instruments. He was truly a wonderful teacher and friend and will be sorely missed. To Brent's immediate family and friends, please accept my condolences and may you find comfort and hope in this difficult time.

He has touched so many with his talent, kindness and gift of time and will never be forgotten. Whenever we think of him, a smile always appears. Brent was a huge part of our extended family, as a "son" to Grandma Dawn, and I know that she and so many beloved others are wrapping their loving arms around him now. Peace and love to you and your family.
