Condolences

Condolence From: Robert W Varro
Condolence: I offer my heartfelt sympathy to Carmen's family, I was away on a trip and did not hear of his passing.
I would like to share a memory with all of you.... when I was all of 16 or 17 Carmen gave me my first chance at playing bass in his country band, there were 3 of us, Carmen, myself and Ted Docheff.....we practiced at his home in Port Rowan, he was very patient with me and finally we were ready...I remember playing at the Cayuga hotel, how excited I was.... and despite being as green as we all were, the band went on successfully. Through out the years ,on and off I would play in bands and back Carmen up at weddings and such..... Thanks Carmen....I will never forget...

Condolence: My condolences on the loss of Carmen. I met him at Theatre Tillsonburg when I was just a young teenager, and he helped to make it a welcoming place where I could begin to develop my love for the theatre. Even if he was not involved in the show, Carmen would always drop by for a visit- often with a Tim Horton's coffee in hand. He was amazing to work with and never failed to make the audience laugh- especially as the reverend in Hotbed Hotel. Carmen was certainly as fabulous offstage as he was off, and will be greatly missed.
