Betty Jane “Bea” Healey (Chanyi)
1940-2017

On Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Betty Healey of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife of Allan (1975). Much loved mother to Jennifer Healey (Harry Biermans) of Tara, Susan Healey (Tom Ujfalussy) of Barrie, Tim Healey (Lisa Hunt) of Burlington and Brendan “Bo” Healey (Sue) of Tillsonburg. Also survived by her loving grandchildren Ben Warnica, Avery & Isaak Frank, Jordan (Geoff) & Micheala Healey and Ronan Healey, as well as great grandsons Keith & Blake Pleli, her brother William Chanyi (Maida), nephew Steve Chanyi (Annette), niece Taye Schoneveldt (Doug) and their sons Kuil & Liam. Remembered by former daughter- in- law Jennifer L. Healey and former son-in-law Homer Frank. Betty was born April 1, 1940 in Niagara Falls, raised in Courtland & Tillsonburg, attended Courtland P.S. and Tillsonburg District High School. Betty was a 1960 graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, London and worked in London, Hamilton, Grimsby, Port Hope and Cobourg. She ended her nursing career after 20 years at Sacred Heart Villa in Courtland. Predeceased by her infant daughter Laura (1962), husband Allan (1975), parents Bill (1977) and Kaye Chanyi (2006), a brother Jackie and son-in-law Richard Warnica (2007). Friends and relatives will be received at the Ostrander's Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg on Wednesday August 30,2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A liturgical service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Father Tom Ferrera.
