Wm. “Roger” Laplante
1938 - 2014
Roger Laplante, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Woodstock General Hospital on Thursday, August 28, 2014 in his 77th year.
Loving husband to Vivian (MacGregor) Laplante. Beloved father of Jason (Anna) Laplante of Burlington. Very proud grandfather of Faryn and Reece. Sadly missed by his brothers Ron, Richard, Paul and Joe and by his sisters Charmaine and Diane. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents Alfonse and Anna (Stoner) Laplante, sister Elaine Laplante and uncle Paul Laplante. Roger served in the Army between 1961 – 1964, was a volunteer Fire Fighter for Granton, served as a Scout Leader, loved being a Pilot and building his own aircraft and was a passionate outdoorsman. At Roger’s request cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519)842-5221 on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Liturgy at 12 noon. Inurnment in the Tillsonburg Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Salvation Army or to the Woodstock General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
