Peacefully at the Niagara Falls Hospital on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, Stanley Walter Hevenor, formerly of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 68 years to Lanora “Nora” (Lester) Hevenor. Loving father of Dale Hevenor (Doreen) of Carp, Larry Hevenor (Pearl) of Niagara Falls and Ann Marie Kenwell (Paul) of Kanata. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Ian, Andrew, Carley, Colin, Randy, Todd and one great-grandson Jonathan. Dear brother of Allan Heavenor (Madeleine) of Ottawa, Ivan Hevenor (Donna) of Tillsonburg, Carl Hevenor (Judy) of Bancroft and Marie Fullerton of Montreal. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Max Hevenor, Donald Hevenor, Ashton Hevenor and sister Marian Brady, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Muriel Cowell, Marjorie Darley, George Lester, Art Lester, Bob Lester, Ida Thompson and Laura Mansfield. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Donna Chapman of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment to follow in the Delmer Cemetery. Memorial donations to First Baptist Church, Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
