Only Yesterday
It seems like only yesterday that Wilson and I were summer brothers and Irene made me feel like a member of the family. She often invited me to stay with them in St. Williams and later on the farm. Being one of those young people who got homesick very easily, Irene made me feel safe and welcome. I suspect that life was hard for Irene at times, but I remember her as a happy person who didn't worry about how many extra kids were around. Thanks Irene.
