Gordon George Gehring (1934 – 2011)
Gordon George Gehring, of Otterville, passed away at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 53 years to Grace. Loving father of Lynn Gehring (Deb) of Otterville, Gail Phillips (Paul) of LaSalette, Fred Gehring (Karen) of Burgessville, Heather Corbett (Jeff) of Burgessville and Paul Gehring (Connie) of Otterville. Cherished grandfather of Stacey, Matthew (Kristin), Brian, Brock (Jenny), Kyle (Kate), Katelyn, Connor, Meagan, Melanie and Grace. Gordon will be sadly missed by his faithful companion Sam. Predeceased by his parents Stanley and Murial (Graham) Gehring and sister Marilyn. Gordon farmed tobacco, fish and ginseng in Otterville for his whole life. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 6-9 p.m. The Memorial Service for Gordon will be private. Memorial donations to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Gordon’s parting message to everyone was, “so long it’s been good to know you.”
